Hi guys

I'm returning to recording after a few years and have bought a reasonably well specified PC and sonar X3 but have a problem which is driving me nuts!

As title, I hit play but the time line stops after a couple of beats. The audio keeps playing fine, but the time line stops following the music.

I've tried a search but had no joy finding a solution. The pause/break and scroll lock options have been tried with no luck.

X3e Producer, win 7 64 bit, i7, 16gb ram

Please help!

Does your PC rely on onboard graphics rather than a separate graphics card?

Hi. It's a HD5450 ATI Graphics Card.

The rest of the graphics seem smooth and everything else seems to be fine while the track is playing.

Are you editing during playback? If so, to resume scrolling right-click in the timeline.

I'm not at my pc right now but I did try to right click - no success.

Wouldn't the timeline work if I was editing? I would've thought (hoped) that it did!

Does this mean you were editing during playback? Editing during playback stops scrolling, right-clicking in the timeline resumes scrolling.

It seems to do it no matter which screen or function I'm in. Just doing regular playback and it's the same - the line moves for a few beats then stops, but the audio continues.

Must be something basic that I'm missing but just can't find it.

Update: I converted a kick track to midi and played it back through AD2 and have found that it only plays back the first couple of notes!

The timing corresponds with the timeline stopping, but the audio keeps running.

Any ideas guys? So frustrated by this.

So it looks like it may be my interface/drivers.

I'm running my digi 002r and it looks as though the drivers don't support multicore.

There appear to be a few others out there with similar problems, so I'll wrap this thread up and start a new one.

Thanks for the help so far guys.
