The forum formatting is mangled (i.e. Text only) using the full version. Phone version format seems okay. Been this way for a few hours now.

Yes and it's not a browser issue because I'm on a different computer too. Must be the boys are doing upgrades,, I wish they'd post a little note..

It's a bug in the forum software. Affects other sites who use ASP Playground as well. Unfortunately we don't really know when it's going to happen so even with all the monitoring software we have across all of our sites we're in the dark for when it happens unless one of us stumbles across it or someone alerts us. Sorry, no upgrades. If there were we would post a note ;)

Thanks Ryan, it's working fine now. Now if we could only get rid of the 12 Spam posts in the old forum. Interesting there is 11 or 14 views of each thread and no one had reported yet. I guess the viewers are not logged in?

Hi Ryan

From my angle it looks like an issue with the IIS app pool (I assume restarting resolves it, there could be a number of root causes).

I am sure you are aware the latest is 5.0 (here is ASP Playground 4.6). Not that this will resolve the issue (I don't know), but I do know it should resolve the bugs with the text editor. Just a FYI just in case but I'm sure you are aware.

Thanks...

It's a relief to see this thread!  I've spent the morning Googling up possible solutions, running neglected Windows updates, dumping cookies, re-setting Firefox and ETC - Sorry there's a recurring problem at Cakewalk with this Forum software, that's a headache, but I still have to say I'm relieved to see it wasn't an issue with my computer.  whew.

Thanks Alex,

Yeah, resetting does resolve it. The frustrating thing is that we have it set to automatically refresh periodically as well but it doesn't seem to fix it always. I actually think sometimes the automatic refresh is the cause. It's frustrating to test if your changes have an impact because you sometimes have to wait 3 weeks for it to pop up again, and by that time you've started to think "sweet looks like we nailed it!"... then there it is again.

Anyhow, a few different clients reported to the ASP Playground dev some details and he rolled out a hotfix which we implemented on our install, but unfortunately it hasn't resolved the issue. We'll have to report some more details to him.

Re: 5.0 upgrade, yeah I'm interested to roll this out soon enough. We didn't want to jump on it right away so that he could roll out some bug fixes first. He is implementing some third-party spam integration that I'm intrigued about however. I'm sure we'll get around to it soon enough.
