This will provide you with "options"

You can now connect the keyboard Midi out to the Midi in of the Studio 6, and the keyboard Midi in to the Studio 6 Midi out.

Connect the USB out of the studio 6 to your computer and you'll be good to go.

The studio 6 should show up in Sonar as a USB device. Disable anything else that's showing up & make the Studio 6 the default.

Do they make MIDI (female) to 1/4" whats-it-called's? (male)

So like       MIDI > Adapter > 1/4"
            Male      FM                Male

Purpose is to hopefuly connect a MIDI keyboard into the guitar input on say a Fast Track II or Scarlett

Your Yamaha PSR-E233 keyboard has an audio out on the stereo head phone jack.

Get a 1/4" TRS to 2 - 1/4" TS split cable and you have audio out that can be plugged into your Fast Track or Scarlett. Plug your headphones into the Fast Track or Scarlett to listen.

Unless the owners manual is mistaken... the MIDI connectors, described as being MIDI I/O, are probably MIDI I/O.

best regards,
mike
