Hello Sirs,
Yes, I have to agree.  It is a very good effort.

There is quite a bit going on there.  I think I hear a mandolin in there, or a banjo, or something that sounds like that.  Or is that some kind of lap steel?

So, if I were your producer I would make a few recommendations.  Work on the mix dynamics. I think I would give every instrument a chance to come through in different places.  The lead guitar parts are well played, but the song is dominated by that instrument.

If I had a bundle file I would do a little more automation so that there was a bit more ebb and flow.  I would also suggest allowing the bass to shine a bit more.  I think even mixing in another bass “sound” to maybe mimic some of the guitar parts, maybe something with a little more slap and rattle.  That dobro, or banjo, or whatever it is could certainly be used to introduce another part of the song too instead of just at the beginning.
The drums are nice, but I might have the drummer back off on the power in a few places.  It happens at 1:50 or so, but it could be done in a few different places

Then I would get someone to write up some lyrics and drop some vocals in there.

I like the playing and the sound, but I also like to pretend I own a record label.

I can tell by how many comments you get that you are popular around here so I hope my comment is not taken as effrontery.

Here's the strange thing with 'instrumentals'...they don't generally have vocals...
