If we collapse/expand the Tracks Folder It collapses/expands those tracks in the console view.

Anyone else?

+1 for this.
If tracks are synced to console strips then both should behave the same.
If you desire otherwise, then turn sync off.

Funny this came up as this was today's little discovery for me.
The sync track and console view option ,, but now I'll never find where it was...
Somedays I think one of those sport action camcorders looking over my shoulder would be handy!

The Sync Track and Console view can be found by hitting 'H' on the keyboard, which brings up the track hide/show dialog. The synch checkbox is on this dialog.

But the sync option does not quite sync.
If you want to hide console strips, you have to do it manually AFAIK.
If memory serves, manually hidden console strips do reappear when you expand their 'synced' track folder.
Checking the sync option should hide console strips when you hide tracks (or collapse the folder) and vice versa.
This is the OP's point...I think.

It does exactly that on my VS-700 Console, which is one of my main reason for putting everything in folders.  (I even have a bass folder for a single bass track.  That way I can hide and unhide it by collapsing/expanding the folder.  With the regular hide/unhide commands, I would be unhiding a bunch of stuff I don't want to see.)

Since the hardware console behavies this way, I was not aware the Console View did not.  I agree 100% that it should.

Not what I was looking for....When I expand or collapse a track folder I would like the tracks in console view to mimic the track view.

Exactly, I want consistency. I do not want to have to remember exceptions whenever possible.
If I pull the handle to open the front car door, I do not want to have to push a button and turn a knob to open the rear car door.
