I guess I'll chime in....
I just turned 67 this year.
Started out in 1969 after my military picnic experiences.
Music/geology major, wrote songs and played in many band endeavors which began in 1970.
In '79 I got more serious and purchased a TEAC 3440S for 1200$ and like many here have gone through countless studio incarnations and equipment upgrades.
That 3440s served me well for 20 years but I'd never go back to the analogue world of perpetual tape deck maintenance. :)
I'm running much leaner now thanks to the technology we've seen evolve over the decades.
Yes...I'm on X3....just couldn't resist the last upgrade offer from X2.
Another day above the dirt for me so all is well.
