I just use the delay plugin itself if I want to muck with my L/R settings, this is the first I've heard of someone putting them on discrete buses for manipulation...though I suppose it makes sense from a OCD kind of way. 

I would set up many more sends if in the next update/X4 we could have multiple (selectable... 1-10) visible on the console... that would be my favorite enhancement...

@CJ and FBB: I see both of you use a chorus buss. Do ya'll have a certain chorus vst you use? Or is it just a certain delay vst?

 
I mainly use the Sonitus Modulator and the Blue Tubes Chorus. Same with the delay, usually Sonitus and Blue Tubes depending on the material.
 
As always it is material dependent but I tend to use one Chorus buss but might have a couple of delay busses. If I am after a specific effect for a track I'll put it on the track or use a unique buss. I don't have a hard and fast rule but most of my projects uses the chorus to some degree and usually at least one delay.
 
Just because the buss is in the project doesn't mean I have to use it but it's there ready to go if I do.
