Great, great vocal. She is singing like she wants the song to go faster, and frankly I do, too. That's the only quibble from me - it's a very cool idea. I know you are going for that 60's Euro cafe vibe thing, which is TOTALLY BALLSY! And your weird musical elements support that concept very well. Accordion! Vibrolux tremolo guitar chords! Plinky piano! Odd mandolin things! IT all works a treat.

I would buy a "Fizzy Pickle" t-shirt without too much hesitation. I'll get a Triple XL for my hugh jarse.

good one y'all

Thanks Tom - Fizzy Pickle T-shirts - mmmmm now there's an idea...

+1 on the brilliant. Love the arrangement. A great improvement over the original in my book. I believe the band would agree. I saw in a documentary, the studio threw out the bands performances and replaced them with the electric disco of the times.
As always, brilliant performance from the current and you guys too.

Lots of talent on display here....you all did a magnificent job on this cover tune. I kept wanting to hear harmonies on Mrs. Greenway....just very slight in places. Nice clean instrumental that made me want to listen to the end.
I don't think I've ever heard a mix that Daryl was involved in that wasn't good. This is no exception!

Sounds great on my awful laptop, that's a real achievement. Looking forward to hearing this on proper equipment. I love mrs. d's voice, lots of character, and it works well over this cool arrangement. Thanks for posting this and looking forward to hearing more from this cast.

Will give this a listen tonight and see if this Hugh Jarce will even bother to Call me.......

so....did you listen mate?

Yes I did.........truly loved this version and all the retro instrumentation.....you guys did a great job on this. I'd love to hear more songs done in this fashion.

I also agree with Beags as the high end seemed a little harsh..........and IMO (amateur one at that) the bass could use some Hugh Jarse end to phatten up the lower frequencies. I listened on my H-phones which usually translates to be a little bass heavy, but not on this one. The mids & hi's were loud & clear.

The Mrs. did a great job on the vocals (as always) and the bv were done really well too......overall, I really enjoyed this.
Well done mate!!

thanks Mesh me old mucker - really appreciate the listen

Sounds really good. The only thing I would change in the in accordion or farfisa track I would automate the volume so that each chord builds a little in the middle so that it breaths a bit.

I does feel a little slow as mentioned but I like it at this tempo.
