IF you have a tuner that wont let you tune down a half step there's a very easy work around. Capo your guitar on the first fret and tune to standard tuning. When you're done just take the capo off.

I'll do this if I really cant find a better solution, also I don't have a capo right now.

Thanks,

I've been using TB Strobe Tuner for years now. You can actually create your own tuning files within 0.1 cents. I've created sweetened tunings based on forum searches that are quite useful. It's also free.

A good chromatic tuner should be sensitive over the entire range. Tuning 50 cents flat is not an issue other than the target pitch is not dead center. A tuner showing cents sharp/flat is preferred regardless of tuning choice (over colored LED styles).

The capo idea is good as well, but I would suggest finger-fretting each string rather than a capo itself. As mentioned above, they can pull all strings sharp depending on placement, capo spring tension, and fret height.

Ah, wait, sorry. When you hay half a step, do you mean a semitone, or half a semitone.
I think I may have just messed you around.
If you want it to read as Ab, then you can just use the tuner to read one semitone flat, or set the base frequency A to Ab which is 415.305

really sorry if I misunderstood and confused

Edit: yeah Ab1 =103.82625
Doh, sorry

Hi Kamikaze, setting the base fequency worked. Thank you so much.

I'm glad I was eventual of some help

BTW, when you installed the Tuner, did you just download the Tuner? or did you download the Installer, and the whole free pack? And if the later, could you just install the Tuner from that, or did you have to add all the free plugins from the installer?

I installed the whole free pack, I didn't noticed an option to only pick the tuner, but I might also just have missed it because I didn't really paid attention on the installation process.

Thank you,
