Figured if I'm gonna be a trouble maker I better make up for it. ILok not required, but the latest version of Kontakt is.
1950's Olds Super tenor trombone. Unreleased sample set done as a test for VSCO 2. Released in the community edition 1.1.
I tried several things. A WIPs version for legato, Nils CC1 crossfading script, the BC version has the shorts and others cut tight. Any feedback appreciated.

I decided to slowly make a bit of an orchestra using the Philharmonia samples. The sample pages says I can't do this, but legally I seem to be able to due to terms and conditions of CC licensing.  Anyway I started with the easiest instrument. So here is a 74 sample, 2 velocity layer banjo because every orchestra needs a good banjo. I did three versions, WIPs for the fake round robins, CC1 Xfade and Ensemble. Of course it uses the latest version of Kontakt so absolutely no one here will be able to try it!
I did hand edit each sample and they are in wave format so that might help someone?

I forgot I used the Philharmonia Samples in my weird DIY shell project. Here are the complete instruments in one zip. A bit inconsistent but might be interesting if you haven't tried them. Uses a fairly old version of kontakt 5 that any kontakt user should have, violin, viola, other stuff...

That's my theory too!

I'm trying my hand at making things less ugly. I think the violin came out nice, but the old trombone not so good... But hey I'm learning. (I like to think). The solo violin and old trombone are together in new package and fewer mistakes. There is a WIPs version that I think is the first time I actually got WIPs right. It has legato for the longs and not legato for the shorts and sometimes faux round robins as needed. There is an XFade / Modwheel version for the sustain / arco that I think works. There is an Ensemble version to make little fake ensembles. I also redid the file structure to make it more professional and easier to use inside Kontakt. It still needs Kontakt 5.6.5. Anyhow hopefully I didn't leave in any mistakes it can be tough being an old cat trying to learn new tricks. But hopefully I get out something useful before I learn to roll over and play dead for my final trick!

Looks nice, bc. Pretty but simple and clean. Sometimes Kontakt scripters get a little carried away with the front end and make the instrument less usable in the process.

Sooooo, you came up with "huge feline" for a new bigcatt nickname. Any variations you passed on you would like to share?
