Have you checked the MD5 hashes shown for each download here? :

I wonder if you have corrupted downloads.
 
I have the downloads Cakewalk sent me. Why should I have to check MD5 hashes? How would that help?

I sent a system info file to tech support, maybe that will help.

Well I installed the latest update (X3e) and now it seems to work.
