I've been comping a guitar track out of 3 tracks, muting and unmuting clips on the respective tracks to get the comp I want. I can't get rid of the editing artifacts which show up as audible clicks.Hours of searching online using every combination of search words I can think of turned up nothing useful.

Any ideas, short of using a 3rd party waveform editor?

Thanks in advance.

You probably have made edits where the waves are not at zero, try zooming in and add slight fade in/out to the clips.

Thanks, I'll try that.

Under the default settings it would seem Sonar automatically chooses zero crossings when you drop the clips together into one track. Might be you method of trying to use mutiple tracks would cause the clicking so try using one track instead.

My method is to insert an audio track, clone it a few times then start recording.
I use the split function to divide into the good clips. I delete all unwanted clips to keep it tidy.
Set "SNAP" to whole or half measures first to retain timing.
Now assemble this into one track. I never get any artifacts unless a note sustained past a split.

Am i to understand that there can be no waveform edits made in the x series?
