What version of HS? I think you need to install the HALion Sonic update. Without him, and I had the same situation.

I think it's version 1.6.3 come with Cubase Elements 7.

My Sonar saw this version. But now I can not check - Halion Sonic now versions 2.

Are you using 64bit SONAR? or 32bit? Make sure this VST or VSTi is ready and had updates for 64bit, if that is the architecture you are using for sonar and windows

I'm using Sonar 32bit.  Not sure if Halion Sonic SE is non-VST, VST2 or VST3, but the 'HALion Sonic SE.dll' was not in any of the vstplugins folders but in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Steinberg\Shared Components\HALion Sonic SE.  I tried both ways of copying the folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstplugins and add it to Sonar VST Scan Path under Sonar Edit>Preferences>File>VST Settings>VST Scan Path.

Thnx

It's been a while since I messed with Cubase and any of its plugins.  I bought Cubase 7 full version over a year ago and after upgrading my computer and installing X3 haven't had any motivation to reinstall it.  But, I remember that few if any of the plugins that come with it could be used in Sonar.  I think you need to buy full versions of the plugins to use them outside of Cubase.  Kind of unfair considering I could use most if not all of Sonar's plugins in Cubase!

I won't mind to buy if it works.  I just want to try it with Sonar and I had no problem with CE7.
