Grem...I have to say, that with the present shortcut keys, I really am not missing ScreenSets. I found that I can set the PRV with a drum map, hit Shift+d, and it is full screen and can work well this way. When I'm done and want to go back to the TV, I just hit d and the PRV is out of the way. Hit d again, and the PRV returns just like I had it. No keyboard, no zoom problem, nothing but how I left it...
That's basically what I'm doing. Maybe my needs are simple, or maybe I'm still just working pretty much as I did in 8.5 without adapting my workflow in the way the X series is implying that I "should" work.
I'm not using screensets. I have one basic screen with everything I need easily available. I have PRV, Tempo, and sometimes Staff tabbed, ready to pop up with "D" whenever I want, but with a couple of tracks always visible above so I can simultaneously work with clips and the details of the clips i.e. MIDI data. My second screen has the Console. That populates my screens the same way I had them in 8.5, and re-sizing sections by dragging temporarily has long since been part of my routine. My WizMouse makes anything instantly available without having to click in a given area to activate it.
When I open a project-in-progress, of course everything is just as I left it. Every project uses the same set up, no aggravation of losing a view, because nothing was ever closed in the project, just temporarily collapsed.
Works for me! I did set up some screensets, but they take too long to load, and unless I'm wanting something I rarely use, like Matrix, there's no advantage - It's just a slower way to get to what I already have set up.
