RPC-1 driver files
The RPC-1 and the M-audio Delta R-BUS are allmost the same card. Only some software on the card itself is different.
There is a new Delta R-bus driver for Vista 32bit available. This could work for the RPC-1 allthough I have not tested this yet.

I updated my PC from Win XP to Vista upon seeing the availability of the RBUS delta Vista driver and am sad to report that it doesn't work with the Roland RPC-1 card. I too have successfully used M-Audio Delta drivers to update the XP drivers for my RPC-1 card. However with Vista this doens't work.

Vista continues to use the older XP drivers for my RPC-1 card (5.10.00.5046) and says that the device is working properly but it is not. It does not play windows sounds nor does it work with Sonar. In fact I can't get Sonar to even load or re-install properly with the sound card situation in this state.

I went into the Vista control panel, pointed it at the new vista drivers and told it that I had this device and it loaded an entry in my Device Manager called "M-Audio Delta R-BUS" that it cannot find. I have a hunch that if I was smart enough to edit the .inf file for this driver that I maybe could be it to map to the Roland RPC-1 card but I don't think I'm up for it.

I can't find anyone who sells the the M-Audio Delta RBUS card - not even on eBay so they must be very rare.

I will shortly flatten my machine and return to XP which is a bitter pill to swallow after spending most of the day to get Vista up and running - but I need to get Sonar back.....

I have two Delta RBUS cards and one RPC-1. Not selling tho.

I sold my delta r-bus about a year ago, but kept the SI-24. Both were pretty good but I moved to an E-MU 1212m for audio. i use the SI-24 controller strictly through MIDI.

I thought with Roland being a major investor in Cakewalk now, maybe they'd update the driver for the SI-24. Don't know , I got mine from a zZounds blowout the winter of 2005 for $250.

I moved from WINXP to VISTA64 business this week. I was able to install two Delta RBUS cards and the RPC-1 with the same M-audio Vista64/WIN7 driver. The RPC1 can be rightclicked in SYSTEM and pointed towards the driver of the M-audio one and then manually add the driver (have disk, then point to driver, then install).

There is someone who modded the Delta driver though so it installs easily for the RPC-1. Go here;

I now have the RPC-1 working under W7

The SI24 will work under WIN8 64 bit with the latest driver from Maudio. Midi connection will be lost. You need to connect the SI-24 over the midi connectors (simple midi to usb adapter)
