Most of the time, shift-right click lets me toggle between editing clips and editing an envelope.  However, sometimes it doesn't work; nothing happens when I shift-right click even when the track is selected.  I usually have to manually select a different edit filter.  After that, shift-right click works again. 
 
Does anyone else have this problem?

I too would like to see the answer.. I think this is why sometimes my mouse pointer stops being able to highlight parts of tracks or envelopes. It's random. Very annoying. 

FWIW, Shift+Left-Click is used to physically pick different objects for the Edit Filter, while Shift+Right-Click is used to toggle between the last two Edit Filter objects - so that could change depending on what those last two selections were.
