+1 for Bent's suggestion. I too have a word document that I list all the tips and tricks and the time in the video they appear.

FWIW, I broke the Advanced Workshop videos down into chapters, each one dealing with a particular topic. There are also PDF "indexes" for each one that describe the techniques being covered.

As to video vs. print, they both have their uses. Print is great for reference, videos are great for giving "aha!" moments where something suddenly becomes clear because you can see a technique in context, as well as hear the results.

I'm sitting here watching one of the Advanced Workshop videos right now ….
The chapter Imaging for Mastering has been super helpful ….I keep going back to that one ….
I honestly didn't know how to do that sort of thing …like many things that are in the video
thank you ...
anyway , I noticed the Quick Time player shows a chapters menu to the right of the timeline

Hey All,

Just catching up with this thread now. Thanks for all the kind kudos and support. As far as more Sonar videos, there likely will be some before the end of the year.

Great news, Eli.

I will be keeping an eye out for new SONAR related videos by you!

Please, let us know when they are available?

We have two new videos tutorials coming out in the next few weeks. In fact, one might be available for sale today.

Well the first one is here today. It's the SONAR X3 Advanced Workshop: Virtual Instruments Revealed, which was written by Karl Rose. It's nearly 5 hours long. There is an intro offer on it through April 30th:

The next video will be 2 hour tutorial devoted exclusively to using Melodyne with SONAR X3. That will be coming out early May.

Those are two good topics. Can you say who will be narrating the Melodyne tutorial/s?

Karl Rose is good and we're lucky to have him doing things for the SONAR community.

Still, with me being American, it's good to hear long session tutorials narrated by someone with a North American accent. Can't Cakewalk get Eli Kranzberg to do more tutorials/videos? He's extremely good and has a pleasant North American sounding voice.

Thanks for the info you've already given, though.

Thank you for sharing this Andrew! I purchased the new X3 instructional video and the others from the Cake store that I didn't have. There is a TON of information in all of these great videos. Now I just need to take a few months and watch them all over and over so I can get the info drilled into my grey matter.

Scoot
SWA used o be done by a Scot, I remember the fuss that caused.

Having spent hours and hours listening to Eli's Groove3 work, I'd rather a different voice, and with it a slightly different approach.

I listened to Pensado's place with Mike Dean yesterday, and needed subs, so not him
