can anyone give me their take on these two interfaces ... I'm undecided which one to get .. I have a Tascam us 800 now but it keeps creating the fatal error check hardware shutdown of my computer. it only happens when I'm using the tascam so I'm getting something else ... tried the scarlett 2i2 but the gain on the headphone out was really weak ... these two are in my price range for now. I would appreciate any comments or recommendations any one has to offer ...I'm new to this home recording.
thanks

I can only recommend the QUAD-CAPTURE because that is what I use with my laptop. I only really need four in/out connections so it is ideal for me.

I'm running a roundtrip latency of around 11 milliseconds, which isn't bad.

If you want to upgrade to Windows 8 then Roland have created new drivers for that.

Not much else I can say...

The quad cap has been very good to me. No problems running at 64 samples. It's been one of the few things I've owned that really was plug & play. The I/O is essentially 2 in/out unless you run digital I/O and that's the only weak point for me. It would be nice to have multiple outs for different speaker systems like I had on my UA25.
