Hi there.  I have a new issue with my POD XT.  Not sure if it is fried.  My specs as follows:

Pod Xt
Windows 7
DAW- Sonar X2A
Processor- i7 2.67 GHz
RAM- 16GB
64 bit
Soundcard- M-Audio 2496

Sonar X2A is not recognizing the POD.  The POD appears among the interface options in preferences but is greyed out and I cannot choose it.  So basically I cannot play guitar into my POD as I have done till recently.

I have an XT and an X3.   Does the POD XT work OK with the Line 6 Monkey program?  and or the Line 6 Gearbox program?

I've never tried recording with my POD's, although I have POD Farm 2 and it works without the POD's.

Yes it works fine with both monkey and gearbox.  Both programs recognize it and I can dial in different tones on gearbox.  Issue is within Sonar X2a where the pod is greyed out.

If the POD is running in ASIO mode, then that is the problem. You can't use two interfaces simultaneously in ASIO mode, disable your other interface and then the POD should become available.

Ok.  I switched to WDM mode and disabled the soundcard.  That solved the issue and I was able to record the POD.  However, this is very strange.  Both interfaces used to work fine in ASIO without need to change drivers.

You should be able to use both in WDM mode.

[<font]You should be able to use both of your 24/96 and your Pod XT in WDM mode at the same time. Try changing your bit rate to 16 bit. If it works then your problem is the usb. IIRC, the Pod must be connected to a usb card with a VIA chipset to use both AIs at the same time. At least mine never worked together till I got a usb card with a VIA chipset.

Personally, I would connect the Pod into the 24/96. The 24/96 is a much better AI than the pod. Plus, the pod's modulation effects sound wierd when recording direct from it.

Use ASIO on the main interface and a different driver that works OK with the POD.
