James, this is a fun song to listen to, and I've listened to all 3 mixes.  In each one, the clicky bass is louder than the lead vocal which is distracting to me, especially since the vocal is well performed and could carry the tune.  The bass drum is hard to hear, but that could be solved by panning the guitars wider.  Also, I like to pan the bass gtr and bass drum a bit- like 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock not to clutter up the middle.  Whether it is your song or not, if you mixed it, then it becomes a part of you and vice versa.  I'm not sure why a song like this need 33 tracks, but you're on the verge of a great mix.

Thanks for the listen and comments Mike, Kakku, Allen and Lynn. This was a challenging mix. I think my set up is ok and that the real problem is that the bass is acting more as a guitar. I think this is as far as I'm gonna take it. no sense in trying to compensate any more.

Just listened to mix 3...  Overall it sounds pretty good, but for me the bass has way to much "click" to it, and as Lynn mentioned it tends to overpower the mix.  A dynamic EQ would be ideal for that, though a multi-band comp could also do the trick to help tame it.   As others also mentioned the drums have bit of a "veil" happening though that could be in the stems.    Good work though.
