I'm recovering files after my computer crashed last week, and I just downloaded one of my favorite free synths, Crystal.  It only has a .dll file and no .exe.  I've installed it in my VST folder and scanned it, but, of course, Sonar doesn't recognize it without the application.  How do I get this to work?  It seems that before, it came with and application file,  but not this time.  Thanks for your replies.

any VST(i) is only a DLL, no EXE required, be sure the DLL is in your scan path (and x86 vs x64 version of course)

Thanks, Paul, I finally got it to work by moving it into a different file, and it was recognized after rescanning.  I don't know why it didn't work in my VST file like all the others, but I'll remember this in the future.  Thanks for replying.
