Been playing almost every day for months now but I guess I got a little too exuberant trying to nail an old hardcore tune and now the top knuckle of my left booger hook is being a jerk.
 
Got it immobilized with TP and green painter's tape at the mo' (which works great for this type of wussy guitar player related injury BTW).
 
Playing is right out today and likely at least until tamale. It's also making it a [REDACTED] to type.
 
BUT... I have a bunch of files to shuffle around for some fancy editing work so I'm not COMPLETELY useless.
 
Only mostly useless.

@bitman... Nope. No pressure at all until the tenderness goes away. When I was constantly playing/gigging at night while doing physical labour in the day I used to play through all the hand manglings. It really did a number on the finesse I had as a young player. I like a bit of grit to my playing these days anyway but I certainly don't want to get any sloppier or make the inevitable athritis worse when it finally comes home to roost.
 
Also, for live stuff in front of a bunch of drunks the mangled hand sloppiness was easy to muscle through. On "tape" it's not even worth the time because I'd just have to do it over AND it prolongs the injury.

Eh... it ain't so bad. It'll save you guys from my usual excessively rambling diatribes considering I developed my typing style around the ole two fingered "hunt and peck" into my own twisted version of "touch typing".
 
Remove main pecker number two from the equation and the word slurries slow waaaay down.

I only expect to lose a couple days of playing/blathering if I keep it wrapped so it shouldn't be too detrimental to my eWeen embiggening activities.
