I have been wanting to switch to Mac for a long time. But I use Sonar X3c Prod. which is not mac compatible. Wanted to know if its a good idea to switch to mac and still use Sonar X3 in its Windows 8 Pro (dual) boot. Does anyone have any negative experience or input regarding this? Or, should I just keep using windows and not take a chance on that.

Why do you want to switch to Mac if you want to keep using Windows for Sonar? Is there anything you want/need OSX for? Otherwise I'd say just stick with regular PCs. If you are uncomfortable with building your own, or disappointed with reliability/performance, spend your money on a custom built audio PC such as those offered by Jim Rosenberry on this site.
