Hello O Wise Ones of this Board,

I know of the way to use "shift" when copying a track or tracks vertically to duplicate the material with the original attack timing intact.

Does anyone know of a way to do this horizontally without trying to nail down where the very first event of the copied material is and then pasting it into a new location? I'm a long time user and can't believe I'm asking this but I have no idea how to do it - especially with unquantized material.
Thanks.

In the Snap module is a switch to toggle to To/By modes. Snapping By measures will preserve the relative timing. The PRV snap has this option now, too, in the resolution drop-down. In fact, it may still be defaulting to that, which can be confusing if you don't know about it.

There's also the Nudge option. You could set it to a particular number of measures.

Brundlefly and Anderton (Craig Anderton?) Thanks for the rapid replies! The Snap by measures was the info that I was missing. Works perfectly. Thanks again.

Yes, Craig Anderton. You're no doubt disappointed it's not the supermodel Sophie Anderton, but there's not much I can do about that
