I did plugin automation on default Master bus but something went wrong and now can't select the envelopes. I know I must click on the Automation selector drop down menu and picked the envelopes but they do not "light up". I deleted the plugins for the envelopes but envelopes stayed and did not delete with plugin.
 
In the old Sonar you could pick the envelopes in the track area and would show "orphaned" and you could delete. Now I don't see the orphaned envelopes are not listed in the automation picker.
 
I just want to delete the envelopes. Ideas?

It has changed and I'm still not in control, but what I did was I noticed there is a volume lane below the audio track that you can expand and the envelopes are still active there. I hate the new system too.... I think if we accidentally toggle something with a keystroke your in la la land.

I looked in help but couldn't find the volume lane. Am I looking for a horizontal track thing? Maybe it isn't in X1 LE.
 
As work-around I created new fx bus so when it made mistake again I deleted the whole bus. Not pretty.
Don't understand why a plug in envelope would keep visible (but not selectable) when plug in is removed.
Maybe this is a bug that is fixed in later versions.
 
 

Ugh, this happens to me ALL the time. In fact, a  lot of time when I simply slide groups of clips on different tracks around the timeline, it'll automatically copy automation data from, perhaps the track I have my mouse over while dragging all of the clips, and then paste it onto all of the other tracks as orphaned, and unelectable. Very annoying visually, I hope they do something about this'n...
