LOVE this Steve - brilliant.
I would like to see the lyrics - could you post them?

Wow! This is great! I love the Rush-like bass line and other parts. Kind of like Kansas meets Rush.

Man that was a cool composition.... Yeah I got that Earlier Genesis Vibe early on  which gravitated towards a Strawbs/Kansas mashup. Sweet guitar playing with all the harmonics reminiscent of Steve Howe. Awesome performance / mix and master. I'll be checking this one out again for sure. So where is Parksburg? I used to live near Allentown.

What a cool song and arrangement! Love the bass big time! Clear, fast and nice parts.
Drums are a bit dry and cymbals and toms could come up.
All sounds really good.

Thanks, Daryl!  I'm glad you liked it.  Sure, I can gather the lyrics and post, though it's likely they won't be entirely clear or "normal"...  I suppose another thing in common with 70's prog.

Thank you, Scott.   I hadn't really thought Rush up to this point, but I like it!   And Kansas, of course, is an old favorite and the main inspiration for the end section.

Thanks, James, I appreciate it!  Combining Genesis, Strawbs, Kansas and Howe in one sentence?  Wow.    FWIW, Parkesburg is a bit east of Lancaster, out with the Amish.

Thanks, Jimmy!  I'm glad to hear the bass is coming through so clear...   The "main" bass line between verses and at the end section is actually where the song began, its genesis if you will.       There is some reverb on the mains and additional effect on the snare, but I'll have to revisit that to see what a little more sounds like.

Loved all the layers, great bass lines. and with your normal style of prog, I knew exactly where you were going with the arrangement (Not). Sounded all good through my cans. :)

Who plays the bass?  That is nice.  The acoustic instrument at the beginning are nice.  I really like when the electric slips in at !:00, and then the pause at 1:25.

The lead at 2:30 is so cool.  I wish I could play guitar like that, and then that bass come in prominently at 3:00, and the song frolics to a conclusion.

I sure wish I knew how to do something like that.

Good musicianship all around.
