This tune is a bit like pop/classical mix. I tried to make just classical but something happened. Made with Sonar X1 and some halion sonic flutes. Comments most welcome.

Pretty melody, arranged well too. I could live without that 4-to-the-floor drum beat though, it seems disconnected from the track.

Thank you James. It is my old problem the drums that haunt me with my old tunes. I should have tried to think things through before putting drums, especially bad drums into the tune. But Thanks again for your commment James.

A good listen -- instruments are laid out well in the mix and everything jells.  I agree with James that the drums could use a little work (man, that's the bane of all of us, right?) but they also need to be up in the mix a bit.  And, the bass could use some compression to tighten it in the mix and make it stand out more -- it's a bit muddy.  Also, I was thinking that it would be interesting to change the sound of the lead instrument at various parts of the piece for some variety.  :)

Good advice from Allan there.
I always like your tracks, most uplifting and set in the happy major key. The key change in this one very real good, lov the melodies.
you must have posted 100 track over the last few days. Busy busy!

You are right on all counts. Mix is horrible. Also I loved the flute sound so muchbi did not think of changing. I have still the projects so I can someday soon perhaps fix things. Last time I tried there was some drivers or settings problem do need to check that first but it is probably just a master of changing the audio output back to Realtek. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks for commenting. Yes, sorry went over board with the posting. I got a strange need to hear nice things from people about my music. I even play my music to half strangers who are too polite to refuse to listen. Also I like to just communicate with people. i am a bit strange.

Kakku I don't think you need to backtrack into a different drum sound. I'd double down and make them louder. This reminds me of Scandinavia somehow. If you ever happen to watch tennis on TV, the Tennis Channel has stuff EXACTLY
like this for background music as they are reviewing highlights, scores, etc. I think it's great, and very marketable.

Plus it's a pleasant listen all by itself.

cheers,
-Tom

You are probably right about the drum thing. It is too softly. But I hope they do not play exactly the same music because then somebody has done a plagiate and it would probably BE me. On the other hand Robin Thicke did some plagiarism and still got good money from the song mmmm, was it Lines something. Thank you for the comment and analysis.

This reminded me of The Neverending Story. You have a good melody here that really drives the tune. I'm with Tom on bringing the drums and bass up. As you say, the mix could be greatly improved, but we all have old mixes that are like this... :)

Dan
