The release notes link doesn't have anything on 5.01, but I suspect it is for Cubase 9 compatibility at least.

Thanks for the heads up.

I was having a problem rendering a composition this morning using 2 violin and 1 horn legato tracks (Play 5.0).
It sounded fine in Splat but the rendered file sounded like all the violin/horn tracks had been put through a weird filter with a long attack! I saw this thread, updated to Play 5.01 and all was fine!

Cheers

I checked the EW Installation Center program and the EastWest Support Center web site and no sign of a newer version than 5.0.0
Did they pull it?

I'm not seeing it either.
My Play 5.0 says there are no updates.

could be mac only, if it's only dealing with an apple/cubase issue...

Was PC. Looks like it's gone for the moment.

I downloaded/installed it, so wasn't Mac only.  The about box inside the EW Installation Center claims my Play version is 5.0.0 but inside SONAR the about box of the actual plugin says 5.0.1 built on Dec 8, 2016

For film/tv/game composers or musicians looking for a more edgy sound, this powerful combination opens up a whole new world of possibilities using real instruments as the source instead of oscillators, or a combination of both.
