If you were like me and updated to Play 5.0.1 "early/quickly" (before they pulled it) you will need to go to the website and manually download and re-install. They re-released 5.0.1 (as 5.0.1a) but didn't increase/change the version number. So the Installation center won't say there is a new version/won't install a new version. There is a new version however, 5.0.1a you can download from the website. It has a build date of Dec 20 (vs the Dec 8 version I mention above). Before I manually updated it, when my Composer Cloud sub ended (on Christmas day) I lost the Ohmicide and Amp simulator features. The 5.0.1a Dec 20 version brought them back. But both versions claim to be 5.0.1 in the about box/etc.
And yes, I'm also seeing notes being cut off reported on VI -- though it seems to mainly be in saved projects. New projects/new instances it doesn't seem to happen (or isn't as easy to make it happen). Saved projects come in with this very odd cutting off of notes. What is exactly wrong isn't clear but it's not right. I'm considering digging up an older version and going backwards.
