Oh man, I shoulda held out.
I been so busy and not getting much time in the studio, I jumped in as soon as X3 was released.
If I'd just been in there using it more than a few times it wouldn't of been so bad.
Still it is only money and not that much of a difference.

If I were to take advantage of this upgrade and then later decide that I wanted to get the full X3 Producer,  how much would that cost?  Is there even an upgrade option from Sonar X3 to Sonar X3 Producer?

I currently own Sonar 8.3 PE.  Will all of my 8.3 PE extras work in X3?

I can't answer the cost part, but any extras from 8.3 should work fine in X3 assuming you're remaining on the same OS.   I wouldn't uninstall 8.3 though - that way any plugins no longer included with X3 will still be there.
