Ok so I solved my last fiasco and now that I have to re map the drums I need to know how to split the drum track...Why you ask? Well I usually do all the drums on separate tracks so there isn't any problem with just re-routing them to the right notes but when I record the high hat parts, I do that on one track so I get 2 notes..The Closed hat and the Open hat. (these notes are a half step apart on my defective drum patch, and the new drum patch doesn't have the hat sounds separated like that...the closest open and closed hat is a whole step apart so I get...closed hat and clave instead of closed hat and open hat...I need to split them some how so I don't have to go back and re-record the hat parts.

How do I separate those into 2 separate tracks so I can route them properly?

As usual I tried to find it in the help but it didn't make sense to me...
Thanks

Rather than separating them into two tracks, you can:

A. Click the corresponding note number/key in the PRV to select them all and just drag them to the correct note number.
 or
B. Use a Drum Map to re-map the events to the correct note number.

but if you really want to move them to another track, you can use the selection technique from option A., and then copy-paste or drag-drop them to another track. Hold Shift to constrain timing when dragging, or if you copy-paste, Tab to the beginning of the first note in the selection to set the Now time before  pasting.

Thank you guys (scook - brundlefly) ...Both methods work, and I'll see which method suits me best and is fastest for me. I knew this was a simple fix...just couldn't seem to find it. I tried to highlight the notes I wanted to move but they wouldn't all highlight and move at once...These methods should help.

Again thanks
