I spoke to Cakewalk Tech support once again. Thanks for all the advise, but I think I'm in over my head here. Cakewalk tech is going to set up a remote session to look into what's going on, on Monday. They need to connect to my system and take a closer look. I'll keep you all posted. Watch it be something stupid that I'm unwittingly doing wrong.....

Well, Cakewalk Tech support was more than willing to help. They remotely connected to my system. Tried as he might, he just couldn't solve the problem. Still getting xc000007B error. They need to escalate the problem and get back to me. To be continued............

Geez. That's the nicest service I have ever witnessed but super frustrating at the same time.

Ok, here is the info that cake walk gave me from Melodyne. They advised me to add Celemony Singletrack Licenser.exe to the Data Execution Prevention section in the Performance section of my system settings. Not sure what this means, but I'm gonna give it a shot as soon as I get back to my PC.

Frustrated as hell. Still can not get Melodyne running except for 32bit stand alone.
I'm lost.

I apologize for being fascinated with someone else's misery, but this is a real cliff-hanger/mystery. It's obvious that the OP has done everything possible, been completely civil the whole time despite massive frustration, and of course, the Cakewalk community is doing everything possible to help...

Just out of curiosity, did you ever check the RAM?

Not yet. I'll have to check the RAM as soon as I have access. All I use the Laptop for is Sonar. I can't see that as being a problem, but I will check anyway. Thanx

I could try this, but I have uninstalled and installed X3 producer 3 times already.

Just for sanity sake here. I am assuming you downloaded the X3 Producer files? Please verify the MD5 hash (thumbprints) from the X3 Producer installation page (scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Producer link) versus the ones on your machine. Specifically these 4 files (copied and pasted from that page, which apply to the Producer version only):

02_SONAR_X3_Producer.part1.exe  fe5d24de89c0d2bf7c8ef0fff85e0abd
02_SONAR_X3_Producer.part2.exe  5128ef47dada335c196e179c596f32f0
02_SONAR_X3_Producer.part3.exe  5c27dbeb9fcf17151e1ccb6ae9f1f542
02_SONAR_X3_Producer.part4.exe  d822bc697796d90c5606193e027f89dd

I use a free program called "FastSum" which calculates the MD5 hash values from files on your machine (there are other programs which will also calculate MD5 values). What this does is verify that the files on your machine are identical to those on the server they came from (i.e. the MD5 values from your downloads match the server).

Your issue is so off the wall that it is borderline crazy, but I had a download error with X2 which produced similar results. The X3 Producer installation should install all files needed to run Melodyne Essential, so I am concerned that one of the download files may be corrupt, and this is an easy thing to check quickly.

If you still have your downloaded files, please verify that the MD5 hashes are correct (simplest check). I kept re-installing X2 from the same download, and one of my files was bad, so the re-installs I did, could not fix anything.

I learned much to my chagrin that you can never trust anything that co-habitates with a microprocessor.
