Hey Jimmy, one thing you might want to consider (which might save you some money) is that most DVD drive are SATA II and most SSD are SATA III.  The difference is throughput/bandwith which has an affect on (transfer) speed.  SATA II connection transfers at 3 GB/s and SATA III at 6 GB/s. So, even though a SSD is faster, it may not give you the results you expect once installed in the DVD drive bay.
 
Just something to think about.

I don't even know if my controller is SATA 6 capable, got to look into that...
