Hey guys,

I want to record the output of Nomad Factory's Oilcan Echo as a separate track for further processing. How do I go about routing the output of the effect?

Basically, I want to leave the original track clean, record the delayed output and further effect that and use it sparingly here and there in my mix.

I know this isn't the most articulate way of describing my aims - I hope someone out there understands!

Is this possible?

Thanks!

Insert a send on the track to a new bus.
Move the delay plug-in to the bus.
Set the delay plug-in to 100% wet.
Bounce the bus.
Turn off or remove the send.

This will create an audio track from the delay plug-in.

Skook's way is one, or you can freeze the track w/ the oil can in the FX bin, copy the audio to another audio track, then unfreeze the original and kill the Echo.  Now you can cut and dice the fx any way you like.
