Since there seem to be so many bugs with windows 7, is it a good idea to roll back to windows 7? in my case I'll have to do a clean install....

That is a question that is wrapped inside of a conundrum inside of a riddle. As you pose it...it has no answer.

Do you mean Windows 10?

With all due respect ,your question isn't quite clear.

I think Yoropal was asking, do you mean you have windows 10 and want to roll back to windows 7?

If that was your intention, well I have all my music computers on Windows 7 with very few issues. I do have other machines for non music work (graphics etc) with windows 10, that are very good, but some of the upgrades have caused problems - mainly short term but definite problems such as things stop working!!
Hope that is helpful

I have found win 10 a HUGE improvement over 7, even with the issues some have had... I would NEVER go back... it's faster, Sonar load leveling across my 12 threads is totally balanced now (HUGE) and Sonar operates way more efficiently...

Just make sure you enable restore, set restore points periodically... it does this automatically for each update, UNLESS YOU DON'T TURN IT ON!  (System Restore)

BTW, a clearer title might get more responses...

W7 is a set it, forget it OS and far more mature.  I have only one system still on W7.  When MS updates W10 it messes up my share in networking once in a while.  I hate that.  W10 is pretty good with older hardware.  My M-Audio legacy stuff still works.
