Oh, apart from Men Behaving Badly, which started on ITV. Loved that.

Yeah that was quite good. When Neil Morrissey took over from Harry Enfield, that is.

Hang on though, didn't it only really get funny after it moved to the BBC?

Yes moved to BBC after series 2. Enfield was terrible, he was only in series 1.

'Bottom' was part of my Friday night stress buster back in the '90s, along with 'Shooting Stars' and 'Red Dwarf', or 'Rab C Nesbitt'. Usually with a litre of cheap red wine. I remember crying with laughter till my stomach ached at the chess game episode.

think the intro for "bottom" shows them sittin on a bench on hammersmith broadway ? locally. they put a bench there with Rik's name on, in memory of.. not sure if it's still there.

Bottom was an absolute hoot. Rick & Ade were one of the best comedy duos in history. In fact I love the whole crew who came from that The Comic Strip Presents era of the early 80's, including Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Peter Richardson and Richard Peacock. Absolutely Fabulous is well worth a watch too. The whole premise of the show, of an irresponsible drug-taking baby-boomer parent being kept in line by her straight laced daughter (and I had a HUGE crush on Julia Sawalha) was comedy gold. Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley were just outrageous in it. I like this episode:

This is one of my fave series. I wish they made more episodes but slim chances that ever happening.
