All you need to do to get rid of the spam posts is to flag it as spam.  After three people have done so, the post disappears.
 
I will usually also report one of the topics to the moderators so they can ban the spammer later, but we no longer need to wait for them.

I'm sure CW can turn off this ability if ever it is abused. We were asking for a solution and they came up with this one that I fully endorse. I think its brilliant.  Many of you never see the spam because its posted in the wee hours of the night or early morning. Now some of us have been able to remove it in a collective way.  So far it is working very well. Plus I think CW still has final say on whether it gets fully removed.
 
We are adults for the most part and are responsible for our actions. I like that CW looks at it that way. I hope no one tries to abuse it.

The posts aren't deleted right away, they're simply removed from being seen.  After three flaggings the post is set to a status of "Approval Pending" which means the mods would see any abuse and handle that situation.

Just a quick aside... if the first (chronological) posts are targeted in thread, it also helps for others who come in a few minutes late to be more effective. That one bot posts every minute, so the first person might only be dealing with a few, and the second person twenty.
 
The "ban" doesn't occur to prevent posting until one post gets 3 flags, so targeting that first post can help minimize "cleanup efforts" afterwards.
