Does anyone reading this thread know if the issue was confirmed and submitted to development or if the ticket was closed as unreproducible?

I'm guessing few actual reports were submitted because it's almost never reproducible. But the Bakers did participate in some threads, and my understanding is that multiple contributing factors have been addressed over time. I saw it a lot in the early releases of X1, but haven't seen it for over a year, now. So at this point, any remaining issues may well be system-specific. One thing that helped reduce the frequency for me back in X1 was to set "Adjust for best appearance" instead of "Let Windows choose..." under System Properties > Performance > Visual Effects.

I would have though that they would have fixed it by now.  I guess it's low priority.  Who needs a NOW line anyway?

It would be nice to know whether you are running X3E or not.

Cheers...

I never had it happen to me in X1. I skipped the upgrade to X2 and waited for X3. When I got X3 it was at X3d and I started having this issue. I will check the settings you mentioned above Brundlefly and see where I am at but as I said earlier I just save and reopen the project and I am good to go again. Thanks for the suggestion.

Edit:  Checked and I am already set for best performance on visual effects.

I haven't had this happen in a while now...but when it used to happen to me...I could switch to a different screenset and back and it would usually fix it.  That way I didn't have to close and reopen the project.

Don't know if it will help with others...but it did for me.

No, you want "best appearance". The Now cursor disappearing is a graphical issue not a performance issue. If you have "best performance" set, that is likely part of the problem.

The now time line will disappear every time when using the playlist if the "keep playlist on top" button isn't pressed. I haven't submitted a report, it's always been that way, but I always have that button on so it doesn't bother me.

That's a good one to know. I don't use the playlist so I wouldn't have encountered it.
