I have been scoring for these films for a couple of days now.
Suddenly, in one of the projects the now time (the vertical line) started to jump from measure to measure instead of moving smoothy.
I though that this could be related to the video. It used to happen before (in previous versions of Sonar) towards the end of the clip.
I closed sonar and re-opened…started playing from the top: The problem is still there.
Loaded another project…the problem is still there. 
Loaded a project with just one track: Pianoteq4 with 1 midi clip playing - The problem is still there.
The way to solve the issue and get the no time to move smoothly again is to reboot the pc.
But, it only works for a whole…the problem comes back in just a few minutes...
Any ideas?

Probably not Scook. I am trying to find out what it is...
Will work with another project for a bit and see it it happens...

Press the Pause/Beak Key. This is not a bug. Its a CPU saving option

+1   yep, chances are it's the pause key right next to the Scroll Lock.
 
So after you've got the "pause key" thing figured out next time you might accidentally hit the "Scroll Lock" key and you'll wonder why Sonar stops following the timeline once it gets to the end of your current screen.  Just sayin' 'cause I've been there/Done that...

also, if in doubt, reboot.

It looks like I was pressing the break key accidentally. Weird how I did it over and over again to replicate the issue after every reboot...
So, no problems with X3e so far. Running very stable here, apart from a few problems with melodyne…(another tread for this one).
