It was ALL hype. You'd think they were the first ones to think of using the TriplePlay with EastWest products. I hope there is something there. If there is they didn't tell you about it.

I was hoping there would be some actual functional updates or something.  The big news is that there is something else we can buy?  Phooey

Anybody want to buy a little used TriplePlay?

I was actually looking to get TriplePlay sometime back, but the price was too much. ATM, I'm very happy with Midi Guitar, but always wanted to how the two compared to each other in response/playing technique etc...??

I don't want to be unkind but I may have been a bit distracted by the "honey badger" hairdo.

Coupla things about the TriplePlay for me.  It is a VERY cool piece of kit.  Performance is outstanding.

The downside for me is two-fold.  First and foremost, I prefer keys over guitar for MIDI.  Secondly, if I open the TP plug GUI inside of SONAR or R*****, everything works fine, but a Windows Error Report kicks off when I close the project/DAW.

I worked with Fishman support until they quit responding to me.  I visited every forum with active TP users and it turns out that I am the only person in the world with this problem.  I've been hoping for the last year+ that software updates would be released that would solve this as a side effect.  There have been zero updates, so zero opportunity for an accidental fix.  I think they got focused on the foot-thingy and left the original TP behind.

After all of that, the unit is fully functional and performance is awesome.  I would be using it if I hadn't decided to go the keys route instead.  When I did settle in with it, I preferred to load my preset into the guitar-mounted controller and not use the TP plug-in anyway.

I have a new Win10 laptop.  I guess I should try it there to see how it does.

I never open up the plugin inside SONAR. I just use it like another midi controller. I open it if I want to adjust or change things. That's prob why I have no problems. I open up my VIP software that came with the Akai Advance and make multis and ad FX there. I can play in what I want with the keyboard or the TriplePlay. Even play in a "left hand" with the guitar and right with the keyboard.

If that isn't talent......I don't know what is (would even sell a few undershreddies to get front row seats).

Where can we hear your music and see you doing this......Youtube?
