I'm currently attempting Process>Audio Effects to see if it processes the automation too.  If so, that may solve the problem.

Doing the same

I'm guessing and stress this is 100% guess based on nothing but intuition that OMF is bnased on XML.  That would be one way of making it cross-platform. I have never tried to export OMF from any program that had anything beyond simple fades and split clips.  I may try to export a more advanced project out of Logic and see what happens.

Thats my hunch too, it must be XML, great minds think alike as I was just musing this over a ciggy while this render happens....

Have we checked how big this project is yet? I dont believe we have.....(I am rendering so cant do it this second) but goto Project, and Audio or something and it lists the Audio file size, if its over two Gb then we have to try and render this into an OMF into Chunks below 2Gb otherwise by the general nature of OMFS the file will break

In my haste, I never looked at file sizes.   I guess i will check that after this finishes rendering.

I guess its a competition on how fast our systems are now to finish this render

kk, just got a "Win32 Error [0x80070057} The parameter is incorrect.

I had this earlier after a bounce on my own project and then Sonar tries to continue....(Currently I have a Not Responding)

Surely a Win32 error means something isnt translating from 64 bit to 32? (just working from logic here)

You Mr D?

I ran an errand real quick and came back.  The Process>audio effcects worked without a hitch but it does not fix problem because it does not take care of automation envelopes which may be behind issue. I jus tneed a way to get rid of all of these envelopes in one or two steps without having to go track by track

just checked on >Project> Audio Files>

and its 1151.1MB so it shouldnt be an issue with either embedded or external reference OMF so its not a blow up file size issue.

Just trimmed the project down to 8 bars and it exported fine (to do this dont forget some of the clips are locked and some have a view of volume rather than clip) - this exported correctly.

Then

Trimmed the project down to 25 bars so therefore has more fades etc and again "OMFI_ERR: Failed a semantic check on input data"

*sighs*, i'll pick this up again tomorrow but been all day at it, such thanks Mr D for staying with me and making me feel sane.... Hopefully all this testing will come of some good.

But logically, the first 9 bars of the test project doesnt have that many fades etc etc  but FROM bar 9 to 25 it does and thats EXACTLY where it throws the OMF out, therefore its got to be some kind of XML data overload issue and maybe the way that the Sonar OMF script is handling the data within the project and translating it and then repacking it back into the OMF?

Just my logic. Could be wrong.

Did you freeze those pianos?  I did not pick this up the first go round but apparently they froze the drums but left the piano as simple instrument tracks?  Have a good night

Sorry, should have added that, yes, everything frozen. Like Mr Freeze over there for you guys in the States.

But to confirm, all synths frozen, all FX applied...first 25 bars crashing with the Semantic Check error
