Hello!
I would like to try Sonar X3 installing the trial version but I found it is impossible. One of the directories that Sonar tries to create includes in its name ":" so Win7 gives an error.
I suppose no one has ever been able to try Sonar X3 because of that, and since there is no way to contact support without a product number, no one has ever been able  to notify this error so I though of posting it here.
Also, it is very inconvenient that the installation path cannot be chosen (it must be disk C:); does this limitation also happen in the full version?

Kind Regards
Hector

Well...I'm on Win7 and just downloaded/installed X3 last Saturday.
I just let the default install occur (as I always do) and absolutely no annoying install furballs.
Sorry, I'm unable to assist with your trial version issue.

Carry on...

Did you try to install it as administrator? Quite a few quirks nowadays seem to be caused by Windows urge to have things performed as Administrator, which I find quite annoying. When the administrator window is open, the computer is more vulnerable.

In addition, you may want to temporarily suspend your antivirus software during the install process.

And, to launch the installer, right-click on the installer program, then click on Run As Administrator.  This gives you higher execution privileges than just having a user account that is an administrator.  :)
