Hi folks, I'm currently on X1d but I just loaded the trial for X3 to see if vocal rider (vst3) would side chain. This is a vst 3 feature and I think only X3 has the vst 3 support.
 
I didn't have any luck, just wondering if I need to reinstall the vocal rider plug (or waves) to get it to show as a vst 3 plug in. It shows as vst 2 right now. (This is waves V9R2)
Any help would be appreciated.

Your in the wrong form for questions about X3, I thought you were asking about Sonar 3 which is 11 years ago.
