  • $99 Upgrade to Sonar X3 Producer (p.6)

I bought the upgrade to X3 Producer through JRRShop a few days ago.  I successfully downloaded and installed X3 last night, but when I try to run Melodyne it prompts me for a serial number.  From what I've read on the forums, my Melodyne serial number should be in my Cakewalk Store account.  I've checked there but I don't see anything for Melodyne (or Addictive Drums, for that matter) even though I do see the serial numbers for X3 Producer, Rapture, Dimension Pro.

Am I doing something wrong, or do I just need to wait for the Melodyne serial number to show up in my account?

EDIT: I just got an email from customer service with the missing serial numbers.  Problem solved.

I don't suppose this includes the free video offer, does it?

I was glad to see that Andrew.

I made my order at about 4:00am April 1st (free X3 Explained Video, too). I was hoping I would be able to still get X3 at the loyal customer's rate for me. I also bought the Cakewalk ProChannel Pack and 4 videos. One of the video links (SONAR X1 Advanced Workshop-The Next Level.zip) is bad. When I click on it, I only download a 0kb file every time. I'll contact Cakewalk tomorrow to fix that.

Thanks Cake, for extending the loyal customer discount offer for X3.

Pretty happy that with my upgrade from 8.5PE, when I registered with Celemony I got the following offer.
"From now until 04/16/2014, you can upgrade to Melodyne editor for only €/US$ 149 – thereby saving 50%."

Is the extension good for only those who tried and couldn't get it to work or is it good for anyone now?

I knew I should have waited. I even said this day was coming in another thread months ago. I have to learn to listen to my own advice. I could have easily finished my projects in X2. OK, for X4 I am waiting a few months.

For what it's worth, I drank the Kool-Aid at what I thought would be the Peak Procrastinator Purchase Period [~10:30 PM EDT on 03/31/14].  It may have been the smoothest Cakewalk Store experience that I've had yet (11+ years).  Even the confirmation email came promptly afterwards.

Now all I need to do is actually download & install it, update to X3e, look around for a video, register Melodyne and Addictive Drums, upgrade Melodyne, and ... oh.  Utilize X3 enough before I christen it (and my familiarity) suitable for mission-critical.
