I finally made a New (low tech) recording in a music shop, about a week ago. I used my phone's microphone and kept it in a waist bag to stop people wondering what was I doing. Also important was solitude while recording.
It is badly played because I am a terrible player so you might need some talent to guess how the song is supposed to be. It is about half improvised and then I rehearsed it a couple of times. All in all not a terrible composition, not my best not my worst. (Enjoy!)
Edit:I wrote in the SoundCloud that it's not an improvised song but it is half way improvised, iI just had to practice it a couple of time so I would not make too many mistakes. On the other hand I did play some melodies before this so I think it is hard to say exactly how improvised it is, but half improvised I believe it is. Sadly there still is a fair share of mistakes and low tech recording ain't cute. Also I have no computer here to edit it's zipper noises out or compress it or eq it.

Why did you want to present the tune like this Antti? I'm all for improvisation and one-take stuff, but I could barely make out what was going on there.

It would be cool in a ghost story movie! The kind of thing where the house is abandoned, but they hear it upstairs, so they go check it out, it's coming from behind the door, they open the door . ..

It's a cool ditty and you obviously felt inspired so go for it, take it somewhere . . .

Sorry. You are right. This recording is not in it's rightful place here with all the hi tech equipment people here use. Actually when I recorded this I just wanted to put the little composition to the relative safety of my phone instead of my feeble mind or memory. Then when I got back from the stores, i just let the recording BE for a week or so. Then when I started to listen to my recordings I noticed that there was at least one 'whole' song there. Then I remembered that I haven't sent you guys nothing New for ages so I used y phone to put it to the Soundcloudis for you to listen. Did you listen with headphones? I use headphones here because I don't have access to any big or small speakers here. I hear it pretty well considering the way I recorded it. Should have rakennettiin it oyt from the waist bag but I thought doing otherwise would get me an audience and I start to make even Møre mistakes then. Thanks for the comment.
