I was sitting in a restaurant last night when I heard a song in the background that sounded really cool so I whipped out my SoundHound app to find it was the following (which I found I already had among the Concrete Blonde albums I had):

What I didn't expect was, when I had the track soloed, that I would end up listening to it over and over (and over).  I just floated away for quite a while reminiscing about things from the past.  Every once in a while I run into a song that has this effect.  It's the chorus that I like the best.

One thing that came to mind today (after I heard it a few more times) is how it reminded me of this song:

Great tune!  I checked out other concrete blonde.  Itd be a nice nite out if they were with queens of the stone age in a concert.  I'm a new fan.

About time for a Queens of the Stone Age night.  The last time I had one was after the Paris bombing where the lead singer's other band was performing.

Hi,

"Everybody Knows"

... and it is a Leonard Cohen song! Very nicely done, too!

This song always has that affect on me since first hearing. That is the beauty of music I guess. We all have are own likes, but if you can find one that can take you away from everything for awhile, that is the magic.

I have never been a Madonna fan, but I have to say she has offered some good songs, this being one.

Some guy brought me 2 cassettes of commercial songs to transfer to CD.
There was a whole bunch of tunes, and only one stuck out.

Mexican Moon.

Si Senor.

Daryk's better half (Liz) also did an excellent version of La Isla Bonita (couldn't find the link in the Songs forum).

Before he died, my father-in-law lived next to  Johnette Napolitano. He said she was one "disconnected" person.

Interesting and an interesting comment.  Disconnected from what he was used to but connected to something else maybe?
