Drum patterns from X2 ( from Groove Monkey, Smart Loops and Steven Slate & Jerry Lyons ) are not fully working on Addictive Drums. (Upgraded to X3) I get basic kick, snare and HH but no toms. I know drum mapping is the issue but haven't reached that learning curve yet. I see that AD has some map presets, would one of these work? If so which one? The AD manual under "Power Map" says to create a folder for each type of files in "User Midi Files" (which I did) then save a Map Preset for each file type with the same name in the folder. O.K. so, do I have to create a map that will work then save it as a preset ? (don't know how to do this) Or will one of the provided presets work? (choices are: GM, 2box, Alesis, Roland(various) and Yamaha(various). Help!

Try the GM map preset in the AD map window. There should be no need to move the MIDI clips from the default locations in SONAR.

Thanks, GM got me 2 toms but no HH. Must not be a perfect fit. Just starting trying maps at random and the Roland td-1basic seemed to sound right. Got 3 toms and HH plus the usual kick and snare. Need to try more midi patterns to see if everything is "there". Seems hit or miss, would really like to know if I'm matching these patterns to the proper kit pieces. Would be helpful if these midi patterns had an attached drum map "name" of some kind that could easily be matched.

Odd, I inserted AD into a project,
clicked the BEATS button in the upper right-hand side of the AD UI,
then opened the Map Window (bottom right on the AD Beats page),
Selected GM from the Map Presents
then pointed the media browser to the Session Drummer Patterns
previewed MIDI patterns from Groove Money and Steven Slate & Jerry Lyons and watched the MIDI loops trigger the hi-hats (and everything else).

I haven't tried that yet but I will, I had a similar issue a few weeks back.
