Today I almost went nuts (or more nuts than usual) trying to track down a new constant rhythmic popping noise. Since the X3 update is relatively new, I was suspicious. What happened in the update?!? Argh! I stopped services, stopped AV and Firewall, but nothing. Frustration began to set in and I was beginning to search for Macs....
 
And then I realized that the sound was familiar. Oh yeah, that's the sound my headphones make when the battery is low.
 
The moral of the story: when trying to locate the source of a problem look at everything. Often the simplest answer is the best (Occam's Razor).

I used to hear a HORRIFIC screeching sound at completely random times, usually after a lengthy Sonar session where I got lots of things done with no trouble at all - then horrible and LOUD screeching.
 
Turns out I was married.

If you look at the 4 consecutive letters that are missing. The word they make should give you a clue as to how the forum software filters out offensive words.

Yeah, I see the pattern but it is inside a word, i.e. surrounded by letters, not numbers or non-alphanumeric characters. I wonder how many other words we could find that would meet those rules. Almost seems like a challenge.
