(I'm often working out grooves with
both hands while playback is looping. When I find something that works, I want to instantly record it. Having to move a hand to the keyboard to hit "R" often breaks the groove.
So I'm thinking about mapping a
sustain pedal (which I almost never use) to
Record.
Has anyone done this, or something similar?
I actually have 2 sustain pedals and 2 MIDI keyboards: a Triton and an Edirol ACR-A30. So it would be great if I could keep one sustain pedal for actual sustain, and then somehow map the other pedal to "R". Any suggestions on how to do that?
Thanks!)
Hey Tripecac,
Altho not totally hands free, see if these settings will work for ya using whatever note or pad trigger preferred (I'm assuming you are familiar with the File/Preferences menus):
