Thanks for verifying : wrong track count is a bug. I shall file a report soon.

I'm not able to reproduce the misreporting of the number of tracks to be deleted (is it possible to expand my steps below ?), I can however reproduce this:

Steps
1) Insert soft synth.
2) Drag in MIDI clip from media browser into track.
3) Drag existing MIDI Clip into area below thus creating new track.
4) Drag back MIDI clip into soft synth track.
5) Observe soft synth track highlighted in blue (but not the MIDI track)
6) Right click the new MIDI track

EXPECTED
MIDI track should be selected.

ACTUAL
MIDI track is not selected.

Thanks...

Alex, that's not a bug. Clicking or right-clicking a track doesn't make the track a "selected track" in Sonar. It just makes the track a "current track."

It's the difference between "selected" and "in focus".

Understood (hadn't put it in my bug report), so what exactly are the steps for this "wrong track count" bug (#11), possible to expand my steps?

Cheers...

EXPECTED
In the context menu "Delete 2 tracks" should appear.

ACTUAL
"Delete track" is shown.
Upon deletion two tracks are deleted.

OK that clears that one up, Albert did you have an issue number for this?

Thanks...

I've just tried a simpler version with just midi track (no soft synth requires) :

- start with a blank project
- insert a midi track, record a simple midi clip
- drag midi clip down to empty area, thus, creating a new midi track
* at this moment, track 2 is in blue color (mark selected, due to our last action of dragging the clip down).
- move mouse to track 1, right click and select delete track (the delete track option did not specify now many tracks)
- deleting track 1, now caused track 2 to be deleted as well.

Alex, I'm just revisiting this tread. Do we just send as one report or each one sends one ?

Albert, it's your issue so please go ahead and log it (give us the issue number on this thread):
http://www.cakewalk.com/support/contact/problemreport.aspx

What I would suggest is giving Cake a link to this thread as well as steps to repro.

Thanks for your help...
